Nerlens Noel (knee) and Jerami Grant (knee, quad) have been ruled out for both Tuesday and Friday’s games against the Hornets.
We’re not optimistic about Noel’s chances of avoiding the shutdown/slowdown bug and Grant is a bit of a mystery but the Sixers will play that safe, too. That said on Grant they’re not dealing with a blue chip stock so they may be a bit more willing to let him come back. Carl Landry is a strong bet to get something like 14 points and seven boards with solid field goal percentage, and Elton Brand is your under the radar play for a low-end line.
Christian Wood is the poor man’s version of Richaun Holmes from an upside perspective, and it’s still a bit early to consider a speculative add in most formats. Robert Covington is a must-start guy and Hollis Thompson has a small chance at being a top-150 guy during the Sixers’ short three-game week. The easing of the rotation might allow Isaiah Canaan the breathing room he needs to be productive tonight, and Ish Smith will get all he can eat so popcorn enthusiasts should be happy with the results.
