Nerlens Noel (right knee contusion) left Wednesday’s game during the second quarter after taking a hard fall and he would return to start the second half.
The fall came a few minutes before halftime and he did look a bit doozy, but apparently it’s just a knee bruise and it’s not a big deal. That said, he was coming off a leg injury and it’s unclear if the two issues impact one another. We’ll let you know if there is anything to worry about after the game.
Update: Right the end of the game Nerlens had to leave the game. Richaun Holmes would be somebody to watch but he was on a minutes limit tonight and missed all five of his shots over 18 minutes to go with six boards and a block. Robert Covington would go huge if Noel missed time and Carl Landry (14 minutes, nine points, three boards) would get maxed out.
McConnell replaces Noel, who is being looked at by trainers now.
