Nicolas Batum will head to Dallas where it will be determined whether or not he needs surgery to repair his left elbow, per Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.
Batum asserted that the injury will not end his season and said it’d be a three-month absence at most. He tore his UCL but if you’re looking for some silver lining, at least it was his non-shooting arm. The decision on surgery should come tomorrow. Batum is still worth drafting, especially if you have an IR slot available, but he’s going to be a late-round asset with his return possibly not coming until mid-January. Jeremy Lamb is a must-add guy in the interim.
