• The Athletic’s Eric Koreen reports that Norman Powell did not participate in Monday’s practice, though he was also able to ditch his crutches from yesterday.

That’s a good sign, as Powell left the TD Garden with crutches after picking up a hip pointer in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Celtics. If he were to miss time, which seems likely, the Raptors will turn to C.J. Miles and OG Anunoby to fill the void. Miles is worth using as a 3-point specialist while Anunoby offers long-term upside as a versatile defender. It was the rookie who started the second half for Norm yesterday, for the record. Powell is already doubtful for Tuesday’s game in Houston.
