Pau Gasol is targeting Wednesday’s game against the Knicks for a return and also said that he will probably deal with knee pain for the rest of the year.
“I had that swelling and reaction, and obviously the alarms went off,” said Gasol. “We tried to find out what’s going on, and we did. We’re managing it. I’m probably not going to be 100 percent all year. Hopefully, it’s not going to get worse, and we’re not going to have an episode like we did after the Miami game. That’s kind of the hope.’’ Owners are going to have to deal with it just like the Bulls are dealing with it right now — by getting whatever out of him that they can. He’s still a must-hold player that deserves starting consideration even if he’s playing just two games in a week.
