    Kristaps Porzingis’ personal trainer/doctor, Carlon Coker, says that the Latvian big man will be ready by opening night.

    To clarify, Coker does not specialize in ACL injuries so don’t expect Porzingis’ original 11-12 month timetable to change. Coker’s focus is on increasing power and strength in the base and upper body and has worked with athletes such as Shaquille O’neal and Andre Agassi. At least it is good to know that Porzingis won’t be wasting any time while rehabbing from his injury and increasing strength will again be his main focus just as it was last off-season.
