Rajon Rondo is a game-time call for tonight’s season finale, according to coach Fred Hoiberg.
Rondo saw a hand specialist on Monday and was presumed doubtful to return in the regular season, but apparently he’s improved quite a bit in the past two days. With the Bulls needing a win to get into the playoffs, expect them to try and bury the depleted Nets quickly. That could mean a few things for Rondo, if he even plays. He’ll either be kept to very low minutes if the game gets to garbage time or be run into the ground in a last-ditch effort to make the playoffs. The possibility also exists that Rondo is active but simply doesn’t play much as a precaution, regardless of game state. It’s a headache for fantasy players on the last night of the year.
