D’Angelo Russell (knee) has no timetable for returning from arthroscopic knee surgery according to the New York Post.
“No update as of now. I know he was working with our performance group today, working on his core strength, hamstring strength, but it’s hard for me to put a stage on it,” Nets coach Kenny Atkinson said Wednesday. “He’s not running yet.” Spencer Dinwiddie has significantly outplayed him and has better upside, despite the discrepancy in name values, and we’re not moving off of Dinwiddie as a mid-round value indefinitely. When Russell gets closer to a return he’ll be worth picking up but with the Nets playing well under Dinwiddie, there might not be a lot of momentum to rush him back.
