Kawhi Leonard will resume working with the Spurs at their practice facility next week and is hoping to return to action in March.
Leonard had been in New York seeking extra opinions on his injured quad but is apparently not planning on shutting things down this season, despite earlier comments from Coach Pop. He’ll still need to get through several benchmarks, but the team hopes to have him doing 5-on-5 work in the “near future.” A March return wouldn’t leave Leonard much time to make a splash in fantasy leagues but you pretty much have to stash him if you can. Kawhi is a top-25 player on a per game basis this season and could be a game-changer for the fantasy playoffs if this comes to pass. This has been a pretty strange saga but a return to the court for Leonard would be a major win for all parties.
