Frustrated by a lack of progress, Kyrie Irving is looking for a second opinion on his injured left knee.
This was initially reported by Boston radio host Tony Massarotti, who added that Irving could just opt to get the screws removed from his knee and sit out the rest of the season if he can’t continue to play through the flareups. The Celtics have just been crushed by injuries lately and perhaps Irving and the organization will slow things down this year and take a long-term approach to his recovery. Terry Rozier is a must-start option for the rest of the season while Shane Larkin will handle the backup minutes.
