Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that there’s no structural damage on Kyrie Irving’s knee, and while he’s looking for a second opinion the prevailing thought is that rest is the best option at this point.
The Irving situation is extremely untenable for fantasy owners, as there’s pretty much no clarity about when or if he’ll be able to play again in the regular season. An indefinite period of rest might be the most frustrating outcome of all, though owners can proceed with confidence next week as Irving won’t be on the team’s road trip. Uncle Drew is looking tough to stash unless you have an IR spot, though most owners would be understandably hesitant to cut Kyrie loose without any surety that he’s out for the season.
