Robert Covington (concussion) returned to action after a six-game absence in Monday’s loss to the Nuggets, scoring 16 points on 6-of-15 shooting (including three treys) with nine rebounds, one steal and one block in 27 minutes.
We figured he’d have some rust on his jumper but the rebounds and defensive stats help round out a very nice return line. He’s a must-start player going forward and Nerlens Noel’s knee issues can only help him out. He could be a beast down the stretch. Hollis Thompson added 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting with four treys, three boards and a block and his value gets a bit safer with the Noel news, as it does for Jerami Grant (seven points, 2-of-10 FGs, one three, three boards, three assists, two steals, 29 minutes).
