Rodney Hood will not play on Saturday night after tweaking his back on Thursday.
Hood only played 18 minutes on Thursday in Phoenix but appeared to re-aggravate his strained back and didn’t return, though he might’ve been done for the night anyway given his minutes restriction. Kyle Korver is also out so the Cavs will be paper thin on the wing. J.R. Smith will probably have to start, as will Jeff Green (not at center this time). That leaves John Holland as the only true wing on the bench. He’s been operating as the team’s sixth or seventh man during their recent injury-riddled stretch but isn’t a recommended option. Though if you’re ever going to use the former BU Terrier, tomorrow might be the day.
