After leaving Sunday’s game with back tightness, Ryan Anderson told Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle that he thinks it’s not a long-term issue and that he hopes to play on Thursday against the Jazz.
Anderson said, “I was trying to loosen it up and then I went in for a rebound and it just locked all the way up. I just tweaked it weird. I’ll be fine. Luckily, our schedule is crazy so we have a few days. I think I’ll be good.” The Rockets only play twice this week, so while that should give Anderson ample time to heal up it makes things a little tough for fantasy purposes outside of Houston’s slam dunk plays. Anderson is only a 3-point specialist anyway and is only a fringe player in standard leagues.
