According to Tom Moore of the Courier Times, Markelle Fultz, who suffered a lateral left ankle sprain during a Sixers summer league game, said he has “been working out lately, getting strength back, doing rehab” and his ankle “is doing a lot better.”
Some Sixers fans were worried about a possible curse after another lottery pick suffered an injury during his first summer league game with the team; however, Fultz addresses those concerns stating he has healed and will be ready to go for the upcoming season. He will be an interesting rookie to watch considering the amount of playing time Fultz should get on the young, developing Sixers. Fultz flashed his potential during his year at Washington, averaging 23.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game. With Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz in the line-up and developing this season, the Sixers could make some noise in a weak Eastern conference.
