Scott Skiles said on Tuesday that Evan Fournier’s right (shooting) wrist injury is not improving and is becoming a concern, but Fournier said that he hopes to play on Friday against the Suns.
We’ve always warned folks about the troubles with shooting wrist injuries and this could spell trouble for Fournier. Even if he can play through it, usually shooting percentages will dip and the injuries can linger. Trading deadlines have all but passed, so owners just have to hunker down and see this out. Elfrid Payton becomes a speculative low-end add in 8-cat leagues with just top-130 value in 29.5 mpg, and he’s much better in 14-16 team formats. 9-cat owners need not apply. Mario Hezonja is a flier pickup in those same 14-16 team formats. Victor Oladipo gets all he can eat if Fournier misses time.
