Stanley Johnson is shaping up as a game-time decision on Friday, per Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press.
Johnson missed yesterday’s shootaround with a back problem after playing big minutes in the opener. There’s been no apparent change in his condition and the Pistons still don’t have an update on his condition past the same report from this morning. If Johnson were to sit, look for Tobias Harris to move to small forward with Jon Leuer likely entering the starting five at power forward. Johnson isn’t on the standard league radar at the moment but could get there if he takes some big leaps forward in his third year.
