While the Warriors haven’t released an official timetable for Stephen Curry‘s recovery from a sprained ankle, NBC Sports’ Monte Poole thinks he’ll be out at least 12 more days and probably closer to four weeks despite the fact that he’s out of his walking boot and “seems to be doing well,” according to coach Kerr.
Curry shedding the walking boot is a nice first step, and Poole also reports that he was only walking with a slight limp on Sunday. The superstar hasn’t resumed on-court work yet, which helps explain the lengthy prognosis despite the positive surface signs. Shaun Livingston should continue to start with Curry out but isn’t a particularly enthralling fantasy option in standard leagues. The Warriors’ big names are really the biggest beneficiaries of Curry’s absence and should enjoy moderate bumps in shots and touches over the next few weeks.
