Taj Gibson played 23 minutes as the starting power forward on Tuesday, finishing with 17 points (8-of-17 from the field, 1-of-3 from the line), eight boards, one steal, one block and two turnovers against the Nets.
Taj (hip) was dealing with an injury coming into tonight and missed Sunday’s practice, but was able to go tonight. Gibson has quietly put together two good outings for the Thunder and is currently enjoying his best streak with Oklahoma City. His minutes remain low, but the usage has been trending up lately. It’s a good idea to keep a watchful eye on him if he’s on the wire.
