Tim Hardaway Jr. had X-rays on his sore left foot following Friday’s game and they returned negative.
This is the first we’re hearing of this and we’ll be paying close attention. He finished with a fairly non-descript 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting with three treys, five boards and three steals in 33 minutes, so hopefully this is just precautionary. If it wasn’t, then Damyean Dotson would be worth a look in deep leagues and it might be the thing that throws Frank Ntilikina (seven points, one three, one steal, 17 minutes) into heavy run.

Update: Hardaway Jr. said the pain was so severe that he had to remove himself from Friday’s game, according to the NY Daily News. “It started to nag and it got worse,” said Hardaway Jr., who added that he hopes to recover in time for Monday’s game against the Clippers. That’s pretty noteworthy because it doesn’t sound like anybody has stepped in to think long-term on this. At this point we’re thinking this is a shorter-term injury.
