In an interview with French site LCI (and helpfully grabbed by News 4 San Antonio), Danny Green said that Tony Parker is “a couple months ahead of schedule” in his recovery from a torn quad tendon.
Parker’s timeline has had him returning in December at the earliest, but it sounds as though he could be back far sooner. While an early return would help settle the point guard situation for the Spurs, it’d pretty much kill the fantasy value of all involved. Parker is no longer a fantasy asset while it’d take the wind out of Patty Mills‘ late-round sails and really hurt young Dejounte Murray, who is expected to start for as long as Parker is out.
