Tyler Johnson will not play on Thursday due to a quad injury.
Johnson was listed as questionable yesterday and has a notorious reputation as someone who tries to play through all sorts of ailments but he’s been ruled out pretty quickly today. There’s no word on who the replacement starter will be but it won’t be Dwyane Wade, who is coming off a big performance. He’s better suited for the second unit anyway and the Heat can keep their rotation relatively intact by keeping him there. They could slide Josh Richardson to the two, in which case guys like Rodney McGruder, Kelly Olynyk or James Johnson could draw into the starting five at one of the forward spots.
