Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Friday that Derrick Rose (ankle) has been away from the team and is currently evaluating his future in basketball.
Rose might be seeing the writing on the wall with his ability to be productive, as well as his playing time on a squad with Isaiah Thomas returning soon. Rose has also had off-the-court issues and whatever the case may be it’s possible his playing days might be over.
Update: Tyronn Lue said he expects Rose back and that he’s dealing with a personal issue.
Story with @mcten filed to ESPN: Cavaliers guard Derrick Rose is away from team and evaluating his future in basketball, league sources tell ESPN. Story soon on site.
