Zach LaVine is dealing with some knee soreness and is a game-time decision for Saturday’s matchup with the Cavs.
Some reports are calling it soreness while others have it as tendinitis, but any way you slice it LaVine’s right knee is less than 100 percent and he might not play tomorrow. Expect the Bulls to tread carefully with any knee issues here, though it’ll all depend on how he feels tomorrow. If LaVine were to sit, the Bulls rotation would be in pretty good disarray with Lauri Markkanen and Kris Dunn already out. Justin Holiday might return to the rotation while Denzel Valentine and David Nwaba would get extra work. The Bulls have been making space for shoot-first guard Antonio Blakeney lately so he might push 30 minutes. Even the recently-returned Paul Zipser would be in line for more work. The pecking order for fantasy purposes probably goes Nwaba-Valentine-Holiday-Blakeney-Zipser, with a little movement depending on what stats you’re chasing heading into the weekend.
