The 76ers have notified Kris Humphries, Emeka Okafor and James Blackmon Jr. that they will be waived on Saturday.
The 76ers 15-man roster has looked set from the beginning so these guys never really had a chance. Undrafted sharpshooter Blackmon, buried 2.7 triples per game in his 3-year career in Indiana. Okafor used to be a double-double machine but has not played in the NBA since 2012-13. He put up a valiant effort in Friday’s preseason finale with four rebounds and three blocks in only ten minutes. Humphries has played for eight different NBA teams but the 76ers will be his ninth.
