Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy is hopeful that Andre Drummond can return to All Star form through improved defense, to the point where he can “dominate the game on the defensive end of the floor.”
Drummond’s value has fallen off with his lack of blocks and his horrendous free throw shooting. However, if you’re looking to punt free throws he will continue to be a great source of rebounds and high field goal percentage with some steals as well. Van Gundy went on to say that Drummond has also lost 20 pounds over the off-season and should be in better shape. He’ll probably be coming off draft boards in the middle rounds after a disappointing season a year ago.
