K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reported that the Bulls are not planing on buying out Rajon Rondo’s contract.
In light of Rondo’s recent good and professional play, the Bulls must feel keeping him on the roster is the right move for them. Anybody who follows the NBA knows the situation in Chicago is a “dumpster fire” right now, so time will only tell how things shape up there. Johnson also noted that Rondo’s contract could be used as a trade chip down the road. A change of scenery to a team in need of some play-making could be the best thing for Rondo at this point.
Also, there are no plans to buy out Rajon Rondo, per source. Beyond fact he's playing well/acting professionally, contract is trade chip.
