Rockets guard Eric Gordon took home the award for the NBA’s 2016-17 Sixth Man of the Year on Monday night.
Gordon went from annual starter for the Pelicans to starting just 15 games for the high-octane Rockets. He came off the bench and edged teammate Lou Williams for the award. Gordon averaged 16.2 points and nailed 3.3 three-pointers per game. Barring a monumental addition to the Rockets, Gordon should be a solid mid-round asset next season.
