• For the first time in his career, Joel Embiid is gearing up to play in his first back-to-back set.

Coach Brett Brown said he will not be going into Saturday’s game with a minute restriction in mind as Embiid played 31 minutes and double-doubled with three blocks on Friday. This is a big step in his career as he said, “Now I’m going to feel like an NBA player.” Following the game, he will travel to Minnesota to attend the Super Bowl. It has not been determined yet if he will sit outside like a “regular person” or use the suite because of the cold weather. As of now, it seems like it may be a combination of the two. In all seriousness, this is great news for the 76ers as they are 23-16 with Embiid this year and 2-8 without him. They also have a +9.5 net rating with him on the floor and a -6.2 rating with him off the floor. The 76ers are currently holding off the Pistons for the 8th seed in the East.

Update: Joel Embiid will play against the Pacers on Saturday.
