LeBron James is committed to defending his title with the Cavs next season.
This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, as LeBron staying in Cleveland for the foreseeable future was always the most likely scenario. He will probably still opt out of his current deal to continue maximizing his earning potential, but it shouldn’t bee seen as an indication he’s going anywhere. “Obviously my agent will take care of all the logistical things but, I’m happy. I’ve got no plans to go nowhere at this point,” James said during today’s championship parade. For fantasy purposes, even an aging LeBron is still a guaranteed top-10 pick next fall. That said, it will be interesting to see if the Cavs continue to employ Kevin Love as their third option, as there simply aren’t enough touches in Cleveland for James, Kyrie Irving and Love to all maintain high end value.
