Following the Denver Nuggets 106-77 loss to the Utah Jazz Tuesday night, reserve center Mason Plumlee called upon his teammates to step up as leaders and hold each other responsible for their poor play.
It was a disheartening loss in Salt Lake City where Denver scored just 28 points across the third and fourth quarters. Plumlee logged just 16 minutes and went scoreless missing all three of his field goal attempts. A lack of leadership, especially veteran leadership, was a topic Malone addressed following a January loss to Sacramento last season and the Nuggets are already missing their veteran power forward Paul Millsap and Jameer Nelson, who they waived at the beginning of the season. The Nuggets can hopefully bounce back on Thursday when they face the struggling Bulls.
