The Bucks extended GM John Hammond for one season through 2017-18.
It looks like Hammond is transitioning the Bucks into a run with former Jazz assistant GM Justin Zanik in that slot after Hammond is gone. Instability in the front office and at the ownership level have been a quiet, but interesting subplot. Hammond started to appear like he may be on the move and there was some acrimony over Jason Kidd’s influence on the front office. Now we see Thon Maker go very high in one of the surprises of the draft. Hopefully the Bucks can get on track with their young and exciting roster.
Source says Hammond will continue as consultant after that period with transition to Justin Zanik as GM.
