The NBA announced guidelines to the new resting policy, according to NBA.com
Adam Silver now has the authority to fine a team up $100,000 for resting healthy players in high-profiled games. Teams will also be subject to fine if they rest more than one healthy player a game and if a player rests, they must remain visible and able to interact with fans. Silver has cracked down teams resting their star players in nationally televised games. Teams will still look to rest their stars in games that are not nationally televised, but the new guidelines should help make it more predictive.
