Marc Stein of ESPN.com is reporting that the Cavs have been informed that Jimmy Butler hopes to stay with the Bulls and would be hesitant to commit to the Cavs long-term if he was dealt.
So the saga continues. With the Cavs well over the salary cap, Butler would not be able to get a max deal in Cleveland, so it makes sense that he would be hesitant to jump ship from a financial perspective. Dwyane Wade made it clear that he intends to pick up his player option and remain with the Bulls next season, so they could potentially get the band back together. Butler is under contract for two more seasons.
