The Knicks are sending Robin Lopez, Jerian Grant and Jose Calderon to Chicago in exchange for Derrick Rose, Justin Holiday and a 2017 second-round pick.
Yikes. Unless there’s more to come, getting Rose off the payroll and receiving Grant in the deal makes this a coup for the Bulls. New York has been desperate to upgrade their backcourt and has been linked to every available point guard this offseason.

It seems as though the Knicks gave up all of their assets for a player that’s been a net negative for several years. Between his devastatingly inefficient shooting, and the likelihood that he cedes touches to Carmelo Anthony, Rose can be safely ignored in most fantasy leagues next season.
According to PAAC only Kobe Bryant and Emmanuel Mudiay had a larger negative impact offensively than Derrick Rose last year

As for Lopez, his arrival all but ensures that Pau Gasol won’t be resigned by the Bulls. Lopez was a solid late round value last year, and stands to be even more valuable in fantasy in Chicago, where he should earn more touches for the suddenly rebuilding Bulls.
Yup. And hard to imagine Bulls bringing back either Pau or Noah at this point. I mean, it was hard 20 minutes ago. https://t.co/ZgfirtB9EC
