Wolves head coach Tom Thibodeau was impressed with how Ricky Rubio was able to dramatically improve towards the end of the season.
Rubio was on a tear on the tail-end of this season and it’s clear coach Thibodeau noticed. “Yeah, I thought he got better and better as the season went along,” Thibodeau said, mentioning an elbow injury that sidelined Rubio at season’s start. “The three will be the next thing that comes. … He’s right there.” He also mentioned that “as of today“, Rubio will be the starting point guard next season. The Wolves are a young team that are rough around the edges but loaded with potential and coach Thibs will look to bring out that talent this offseason.
