The Warriors seem inclined to match any offer for pending RFA Harrison Barnes this summer.
According to a report from the Sporting News this morning, it seems likely that the Warriors top brass have every intention of keeping their core group together. Warriors owner Joe Lacob has stated in the past that money would not be an issue in keeping the team together, so this report shouldn’t be surprising. Harrison Barnes turned down a 4 year 64 million offer from the Warriors last summer and is poised to command a salary in the $20 million/year range. The Lakers, Mavs, Celtics and Suns have been rumoured to be interested and could potentially offer him a max contract. Stay tuned as this offseason could be an interesting one for the Warriors.
