Adrian Wojnarowski mentioned Phoenix and Portland as potential landing spots for trade candidate Kevin Love.
Portland has long been in the rumor mill as a destination for free agent signings or power forwards coming in via trade. Love would be the latest addition to a Portland frontcourt that has retooled on the fly and suffered devastating injuries since the end of last season. With Jusuf Nurkic, Zach Collins and Rodney Hood out, they have a dearth of options behind Hassan Whiteside and Carmelo Anthony, neither of which inspire much confidence on the defensive side of the ball. It's hard to envision Love being a huge upgrade over those two. On the other hand, Phoenix looks like a more suitable destination for Love, and they've got the pieces and cap room to get a deal done. It remains to be seen whether the new-look Suns defense can cover for both Love and Deandre Ayton on defense, but Love's spacing is an ideal fit a Ricky Rubio-led offense. Regardless, it looks like Love might finally leave basketball purgatory in Cleveland this season.
