The Bulls have signed 2nd year center Diamond Stone.
Stone was drafted late in the 2016 draft by the Clippers, but after a very disappointing rookie season he was traded to the Hawks. He didn’t spend much time in Atlanta as he was soon waived by the Hawks. Coming into the draft, Stone was one of the more promising prospects, but his game didn’t quite translate to the NBA. The Bulls are definitely in a rebuilding stage, so it’s not surprising to see them taking a chance with the hopes that Stone plays up to his potential. However, their front court its pretty stacked so it’ll be interesting to see if Stone can even crack his way into the rotation.
