The Hawks have officially announced the signing of Jabari Parker, and Parker says he has no problem coming off the bench.
Parker heads to Atlanta on a two-year, $13 million deal with a player option on the second season. He'll have a good chance to put up numbers on a Hawks team that looks like it'll try to outscore its problems and then hit the market again next summer, where the free agent class doesn't look overly appealing. Parker will be coming off the bench, so it's good that he's already accepted the role — at least outwardly. Atlanta's got young players to develop at the forward spots and Parker's playing time simply isn't a higher priority, though he figures to see minutes in the low twenties. That could still be enough to churn out boring late-round value.
