The Jazz have waived William Howard.

Howard, a 25-year-old out of France, lost the 15th roster spot to Stanton Kidd. He was a solid 3-point shooter in France's LNB Pro A and is still a worthwhile developmental prospect.

Jimmy Butler scrapped his way to 22 points on 8-of-19 shooting, adding two rebounds, eight dimes and one steal on Sunday as the Heat elimate the Celtics from contention.

"Butler has been a perfect fit for the Heat and their culture," is something that has been said repeatedly on multiple occasions but tonight, is the time we're actually seeing the rewards getting reaped. He will have a tough job ahead of him, going up against no less than LeBron James. That said, if there's anyone who's going to bulldog it out and find a way to win despite being huge underdogs, it's going to be Butler.

Bam Adebayo

Bam Adebayo went all out in Game 6 on Sunday and sealed the deal, leading the Heat to a 125-113 victory over the Celtics with 32 points on 11-of-15 shooting from the field and 10-of-11 shooting from the line, allowing them to advance to the NBA Finals.

Adebayo also grabbed 14 rebounds, dished out five assists and swiped one steal as he actively participated on offense in this one with his game-high scoring. Adebayo felt responsible for the Heat's Game 5 loss and even if he actually wasn't, Bam redeemed himself with extreme prejudice tonight. He will have a tough match-up against Anthony Davis, but he's grown by leaps in bounds, and will be a force to be reckoned with.

Gabe Vincent
PG, Miami Heat

Gabe Vincent (right knee soreness) is not on the active roster for Sunday's Game 6 against the Celtics.

Vincent was listed as questionable to play but may well have been an inactive even if he wasn't hurting. The two-way contract player has not been a consequential part of Miami's rotation since the seeding games.

Malik Beasley

Updating a previous story, Shams Charania is reporting that Malik Beasley has been released from jail while Beasley's attorney states that there are no official charges at this time.

It had previously been reported that Beasley was arrested on charges of marijuana possession and receiving and concealing stolen property. We won't speculate on any legal matters but will keep you updated as more news breaks.

Mike Singer of the Denver Post has heard that Jerami Grant will decline his player option and opt out of his contract this summer, but has interest in staying with the Nuggets.

When asked about his future with Denver following Saturday's Game 5 defeat, Grant said, "I’m definitely looking forward to it. We’ll see how it goes.” Grant was slated to make $9.3 million next season but has earned far more than that, especially after his outstanding postseason run. An offensive explosion in last night's third quarter kept the Nuggets alive while Grant's defense on Kawhi Leonard helped them get through the second round. Singer's sources also said that Grant could command $14 – $16 million annually on the open market. Denver has some money to spend with Paul Millsap and Mason Plumlee coming off the books so if they really want to retain Grant they'll have the space to make it happen.
