The Lakers have announced the signing of Dwight Howard to a non-guaranteed deal.
Howard officially returns to Los Angeles. His production has slipped, though he still put up amazing numbers if you were punting free throws just two seasons ago with per-game averages of 16.6 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks on 55.5 percent from the floor in 81 games. Last year was obviously a different story as he played in just nine games and his blocks dropped to 0.4 per game. It sounds like he'll be on a short leash regarding his attitude, but there's a chance he becomes relevant once more this season in limited minutes at age 33.
