The Mavs have officially re-signed Maxi Kleber and Dorian Finney-Smith.
The Mavs continue to chip away at a strong offseason, locking in productive players at very reasonable rates. Kleber is signing a four-year, $35 million deal and will be an important part of the Dallas frontcourt. Last season he averaged 6.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 0.5 steals, 1.1. blocks and 1.1 threes in 21.2 mpg, though he also had 21 games of double-digit scoring. That was good for borderline 12-team value, and Kleber did have stretches of top-100 output throughout the season. He's a fine late-round target because of his stat set and hopefully-increasing role. Finney-Smith, coming back on a three-year, $12 million pact, is a favorite of Rick Carlisle and is often tasked with defending the opponent's top player. He should be good for his usual low-twenties playing time, though his modest usage means he's not much of a fantasy contributor.
