The Clippers announced on Tuesday that they have signed rookie Amir Coffey to a two-way contract.
Coffey went undrafted following his junior season with the Minnesota Golden Gophers where he averaged a team-best 16.6 points per game. He is currently a member of the Clippers’ summer-league team in Las Vegas and apparently has impressed the team enough to earn a roster spot. Every NBA team is permitted to sign a couple two-way players. Coffey will split his team between the Clippers and the Agua Caliente of the G League.
