Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports that the Jazz and shooting guard Rodney Hood have opened contract extension negotiations.
With the loss of Gordon Hayward, it’s crucial for the Jazz to hold on to Rodney Hood, who will enter his fourth year in the Association. Hood, one year away from restricted free agency, will now be looked at as the primary scorer for a Jazz team fresh-off a second round playoff appearance. The former Duke Blue Devil scored 12.7 points per game last season, adding in 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
