• Jazz rookie guard Donovan Mitchell has been impressive in training camp according to the Deseret News.

Mitchell is very defensive minded which fits what coach Quin Snyder has built the team around. It’s probably the reason why they traded up to the 13th pick to nab him in the draft. It also makes it a good bet for him to see minutes during the regular season as a backup. The Jazz have Dante Exum and Raul Neto on the roster, but Mitchell was the first guard off the bench in their preseason game and his defense will give him an edge. The 21-year old is someone to keep an eye on and snatch if Ricky Rubio were to go down with an injury again. In college Mitchell averaged 15 points, two steals and was second on the team in assists and rebounds. He can do it all and tore it up in Summer League, averaging 20 points a game.
