Justin Hamilton scored six points on 3-of-9 shooting (0-for-4 from deep) with four rebounds and two blocks in 16 minutes off the bench on Thursday against the Pelicans.
Hamilton hits a three or two and he’s giving you a classic J-Ham line so we’re not moving the needle with his valuation. He’s a 45.2 percent career shooter over 81 games currently sitting at 42.2 percent after a slump that was spurred on by not being able to see. This year he has still been tucked inside the top-200 in just 20 mpg and the combo of more center minutes in a post-Lopez scenario, general improvement and more minutes in general are all things that give him top-75 upside when he pops. The only question is if he can be usable as a late-round value until then. We want to give him about two weeks ‘with vision’ before we rule that out.
