The Knicks will continue to increase the minutes for Frank Ntilikina and are considering moving him into the starting five, though there is no change imminent.
That’s not a shock considering this has been the expected plan all along. While Jarrett Jack has been putting in yeoman’s work as a starter, Ntilikina averages nearly eight minutes in fourth quarters and it’s clear that the Knicks want him to get some serious development time. He’s coming off a career-high 11 assists against the Spurs and this report only underscores the need to start stashing him if he’s available. Ntilikina still needs some work on the offensive side of the ball but he could pretty easily become a standard league guy in the proper minutes.
