Jacob Evans led the Warriors with 18 points (6-of-11 shooting), five rebounds, three assists, two steals, a block and a pair of 3-pointers in Monday's loss to the Kings in the California Classic.
Evans played a team-high 26 minutes and this was a great start to his sophomore campaign. He was thought to be NBA-ready coming out of the draft last season but didn't give the Warriors much help, only making 30 appearances and averaging 6.8 minutes per game. Given their cap situation and roster, odds are that Evans will be counted on much more this upcoming season. The same can be said of rookie Jordan Poole, who had a less successful statistical outing with six points on 3-of-12 from the field.
