Alex Len dropped 19 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks while shooting 9-for-11 in Tuesday’s 88-115 loss to the Pistons.
It was a perfect storm for Len, who was able to draw the start with Tyson Chandler out against a team that runs its entire operation around two big men. He put in some serious work in his 25 minutes and while a performance like this deserves consideration, we’ve been burned by Len too many times before to be gung ho about an add in 12-team formats. Chandler’s health is half of the equation, and the team’s willingness to just let Len play is the other half. There aren’t clear answers on either side of that, unfortunately, and as luck would have it the Suns’ next game comes in Cleveland on Friday. The last time these two teams played, Chandler was a DNP and Len saw six minutes as Phoenix went small. Good luck here.
